Lance Gidel founded Gidel & Kocal Construction Company alongside John Kocal in November of 1980 in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Lance Gidel and John Kocal grew their business from commercial tenant improvement projects to providing ground-up construction for a range of national and international companies. Today, the professional team has expanded, but the commitment to excellence and integrity remain the same.
John Kocal retired in November of 2011 at which time, Lance Gidel took over the entire business. Alyssa Pedersen, Lance’s eldest daughter, started working with Gidel & Kocal Construction in 1999 as an accounts payable assistant while attending college. Ashley Gidel, Lance’s youngest daughter, started working at Gidel & Kocal full time in 2015 as a Project Engineer. In 2018, she became a Project Manager, running projects from the initial bidding to the final punch list.
