In 1986, the Community Food Bank was created to address hunger issues in our community. Changing the name to The Food Bank of the Golden Crescent (FBGC), to better reflect the area served, FBGC became the support system for over 100 agencies in our 11 county service area of Calhoun, Colorado, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, Matagorda, Refugio, Wharton and Victoria. The Food Bank of the Golden Crescent serves Calhoun, Colorado, DeWitt, Goliad, Gonzales, Jackson, Lavaca, Matagorda, Refugio, Victoria, and Wharton counties.
