Audiology With A Heart was founded by Dr. Debra Shadoff. She entered the field of audiology because she wanted to help people and has had a lifelong interest in supporting the Deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. After she graduated, she started working in a sales-driven environment that left her feeling unsatisfied. She hated being expected to pressure patients into buying expensive hearing aids. After a few years, she moved into a nonprofit environment and found what she had been missing. She loved the nonprofit approach so much that she decided to create her own nonprofit practice. That became Audiology With A Heart, which builds on Debra's experience at other nonprofit organizations. Here, we prioritize you, not the bottom line. Our favorite part of working in audiology is knowing the difference we can make. When patients tell us their lives are better because of what we do for them, it reminds us that we're in the right field doing the right thing.
We love what we do. We love that each and every day, we have the opportunity to improve lives. We understand that when one hears better, life gets better. We do what we do to help you better communicate with those you love, more actively participate in the workplace, improve your social life and strengthen your cognitive health. We know that treating your hearing expands much further than your ears. It can improve all areas of your life.
